short film
In the world of film, "time and space" could be manipulated and check a lot longer or shorter than what it might be in real life. Directors are able to manipulate the camera, in order to increase the risk for audience believe something is real, when it is not. Also, they are able to come up with a decade appear like just one day. This is the excellence of the shoot.

Here's an essential tip to learn when attempting to shoot your first short movie.

Every time a man walks from his house to some neighbor's house, he walks in the straight line the truth is. In the film, the guy can be shot from different angles.

The truth is, if you're a bystander taking a look at a person walking from his house on the neighbor's house from left to right and you cross the trail, you'll now see him going from to certainly left.

Within a movie, a guy going from his house to his neighbor's house is going to be filmed as going from left to right.

Within the next shot, he is seen going from right to left, it's going to seem that he is returning to his house as an alternative to continuing to his neighbour's house. This is because the screen is two-dimensional hence the viewer cannot literally "cross the street" and search in the other side without getting disoriented.

This is where the rule of "not crossing the line" is available in.

For making movies, you will need to shoot from only 1 side with the line, to take care of directional continuity

When shooting movies, you should make an effort to shoot from various angles, and play around with them...

Should you saw the film Inception, directed by Christopher Nolan (director in the Batman movies) up for an Oscar this coming year, you'll have noticed how this movie was shot from the 3 major different perspectives, not simply angles, though the camera was always making the viewer feel he was looking coming from a different angle...

The Matrix is another fine demonstration of this 'directional continuity', too...

Then when shooting movies, you will need to think about, where will be the ideal shot within the frame. Working this out using story boards is advisable, that you can envisage where the best angle will be to shoot the actors when on location.
